The Pregnancy Resource Center is looking for people to volunteer for the 16th annual LifeWalk this Saturday, May 15th. They are specifically looking for people to work as crossing guards to direct the walkers and make sure they get across intersections safely. They need people from 8:30am until 10:30am. Please email Erin ASAP at if you are able to help out. She will forward your contact info to Becky Buick at the PRC who is coordinating the volunteer effort. Erin or Becky will let you know where to meet at. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING OUT!!!!
For all those interested in lending a hand in helping to make Connect possible, we will be having our monthly Vision Meeting where we plan Connect’s upcoming events. It will be this Wednesday at 7 PM at Holy Spirit parish, just before we begin Adoration.
On the schedule for this Wednesday is Adoration and Confession at Holy Spirit parish with Father Mark Mitchell. We will meet at 7:30 PM. After Adoration, we will gather at a local restaurant for appetisers and fellowship. Hope to see you there and God bless your week!
Theology on Tap is happening again!
Invite friends, family, Catholics, and non-Catholics to an evening at Derby Station with Fr. Matthew Barnum as he presents, “In the Person of Christ: The Priesthood during the Year of the Priest.” For those of you who are new to Theology on Tap, a religious presentation is given at a local bar while the audience relaxes and enjoys the food, drink, and ambiance of the location. It’s a relaxing way to learn a little and meet new people.

Join Catholic Connect in its first Parish Photo Scavenger Hunt!! We will be meeting at Holy Spirit Parish at 3pm. Attendees will divide into groups and be given a scavenger hunt list. Each group will be asked to find all the parishes on the list, go to each parish, and take a picture of each parish. The first group back to Holy Spirit with all the correct parishes and pictures will win a prize.
After the Scavenger Hunt, we will head down to Walker Community Park for a dinner cook out, taking place at approximately 5pm. If you are attending the cookout please sign up for a dish to bring. You can sign up for your dish by writing on the Facebook event wall what you will be bringing.

Just a reminder that we will be meeting for our monthly service project on Wednesday, April 21. We will be doing volunteer work at Pregnancy Resource Center (415 Cherry St. SE, Grand Rapids) from 6:30 PM – 8 PM. After, we’ll probably be going out to get a bite to eat.
It’s that time of year again! Time to round up your friends and head to a local pub for Theology on Tap!
For those who’ve never been, Theology on Tap is a Catholic speaker series that presents talks addressing religious and theological topics relevant to young adults. The presentations take place while the audience relaxes and enjoys the food, drink, and ambiance of a local bar. This event is open to all young adults aged 18-39.
Our first round of Theology on Tap takes place on Wednesday, April 14 from 7 PM to 9 PM at Derby Station (2237 Wealthy St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506 — below is a map). Cliff Bajema will be giving a talk entitled “From Calvinism back to Catholicism: The Journey Home”
