Monthly Service Project-Cleaning at the PRC
Wednesday4/17, we’ll be doing our monthly service project, cleaning at the Wyoming Pregnancy Resource Center (2438 28th St. SW Wyoming, MI 49519) from 6:30 to 8pm. Then we’ll head out for a bite to eat.
“The Imitation of Christ” book/discussion!
This week Wednesday, instead of having a speaker like we normally do the second Wednesday of the month, we will continue reading through and discussing the book “The Imitation of Christ” by Thomas Kemphis in small groups. We will be meeting in the Connect room at our usual time, 7:30pm. We will then have our speaker the fourth Wednesday instead and…it will be a Theology on Tap (TOT), our first one this year!
Divine Mercy Sunday @ St. Michael’s
Coming up this weekend is Connect Corporate Communion to celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday! We will be celebrating the Divine Mercy Mass at St. Michael’s Church in Muskegon at 2 pm this Sunday. Please meet in the narthex of the church 20 minutes prior so we can get everyone together and sit as a group. This mass fills up fast, so it’s important to be early. After mass, we will head over to Brian and Tiffany Nolan’s house for some food and fellowship. If you can’t make it to mass, but would like to join us afterwards, you can meet us at the Nolan’s around 4pm. Below are the addresses and the link to the Facebook event.

Vision Meeting/Adoration & Confession
This week Wednesday, we will be having our monthly Vision Meeting in the Connect room in the basement of Holy Spirit at 7pm to discuss upcoming events and ideas for the group. We’d love to hear your ideas, so please come join us! Following that, around 7:30 or 7:45pm, we’ll head up to the chapel for Adoration and Confession with Fr. Mark. And then we’ll grab a bite to eat at Applebees once we’re done.

This week Wednesday, we will be meeting in the Connect room in the basement of Holy Spirit at 7:30pm to continue our journey through Thomas Kemphis’ book “The Imitation of Christ” that we began last month. We will spend time reflecting on a few chapters in small groups of 3 or 4 and then come together as a larger group to share what was heard and discussed. Afterwards, we’ll head over to Applebees for a bite to eat.

This week Wednesday, seeing as it will be the third Wednesday of the month, we will be doing our monthly service project, cleaning at the Wyoming Pregnancy Resource Center (2438 28th St. SW Wyoming, MI 49519). We’ll meet there at 6:30pm and once we’re done, we’ll head out for a bite to eat.
Fr. Dennis Morrow on “The Papacy”
This week Wednesday, we’ll be meeting in the basement of Holy Spirit at 7:30pm for a discussion led by Fr. Dennis Morrow, pastor of SS. Peter and Paul parish here in GR. The topic will be The Papacy: what good and bad popes teach us about the mystery of the Church and how to pray for the pope, bishops and priests. If we have time, he’ll also speak a little on Lenten topics, especially the reason for Lenten penance as a prep for Easter (perfect timing for both topics!).
Soup and Stations @ the Cathedral of St. Andrew
This Friday, we’ll be attending Soup and Stations at the Cathedral of St. Andrew’s in downtown Grand Rapids (215 Sheldon SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503). We will meet in the basement of the church where they’ll be serving a soup/bread/salad/dessert dinner at 6pm. Then we’ll head upstairs at 7pm for the stations of the cross. The cost for dinner is $3 for adults and $1 for children under 12.
