We’ll be watching and discussing the new video series, Symbolon-The Catholic Faith Explained. If you missed the first few episodes, it is okay! The episodes don’t always connect with the previous ones. It is a compelling presentation of the Catholic faith. Through beautifully crafted teaching and state-of-the-art video, author and speaker Dr. Edward Sri leads a team of dynamic teachers who provide a clear and comprehensive understanding of what the Catholic Church teaches and how to live it. After the video and discussion, we’ll head over to Applebee’s in Standale for a bite to eat.

We’ll start with our monthly vision meeting where we will discuss upcoming events. Everyone is invited to come and participate! Then we will be having Adoration and Confession with Fr. Mark in the Chapel just off the Narthex of Holy Spirit Church. If you haven’t been to it before, Fr. Mark will kick off Adoration and then while he’s hearing confessions in the small room off the back of the chapel, we’ll spend time sitting quietly, reflecting and saying a rosary. Afterwards we’ll head out for a bite to eat.

Sister Mary Margaret Delaski, FSE will be giving a presentation titled: “The Days of Holy Week: From Commitment to Miracle.” The following is a description of the event: Jesus said “Yes” to the Father, and thus entered into the process that led to his suffering and death on the cross, Each year the Church gives us the opportunity to walk with him in the liturgical season we call Lent. Like Jesus, we will know the miracle of Easter if we give ourselves openly and say our “Yes” to the Father. The five weeks of Lent prepare us for Holy Week, that special time in which we are called to immerse ourselves into the mystery of redemption with Christ. We will look closely at the underlying paradox contained in each day of Holy Week, leading us from commitment to miracle.
