We’ll be doing our monthly service project, cleaning at the PRC. Please meet there and once we’re done, we may head out to a local restaurant for a late dinner.
Please join us for a movie! Note the prompt start time of 7:20pm so we can watch the entire video in one evening.
We will start with our usual monthly meeting where we will be discussing next month’s activities. We will be having Adoration and Confession in the Chapel just off the Narthex of Holy Spirit Church. If you haven’t been to it before, Father will kick off Adoration and then while he’s hearing confessions in the small room off the back of the chapel, we’ll spend time sitting quietly, reflecting and saying a rosary.
It’s that time of year again…time for the Annual Connect Progressive Dinner! For those of you wondering what a progressive dinner is, you start out at one house for appetizers, move on to another for dinner and end the night at another with dessert/games. It’s a great opportunity to socialize and try a wide variety of cuisine.
This year’s schedule is as follows:
5:30 pm: appetizers at Dave and Julie Cook’s house
7:00 pm: dinner at Matt and Sarah Meyer’s house
8:45 pm: dessert and games at Sara Heckman’s house
You are welcome to come to any or all parts, but please RSVP by Wednesday 4/20 so the hosts know how much food to prepare and if you will not be making it to all 3 locations, please post on the wall what part of the night you will be attending. If you would like any alcoholic beverages, please bring your own, as only water/milk/juice/pop will be provided. Hope to you see all there!

Franciscan Brother Rufino Greely will be giving a talk on “Experiencing the Joy of Brotherhood.” The bold challenge to build a culture of life has re-awakened the vocation of Brother with new meaning and vitality in the Church. This talk is especially geared toward those discerning a religious vocation, but everyone is welcome! Cookies will be provided!
All around us, we get the message that success and achievement comes from self-aggrandizement and the willingness to avenge the wrongs done to you. Those who show mercy are portrayed as weak and lacking in self-respect. However, in this Year of Mercy, Pope Francis is reminding our world that true power comes from the strength of merciful love. We see this illustrated concretely in by living the works of mercy. In this presentation, we’ll explore the true meaning of mercy found in the Gospel and how we can concretely live it in our present times with power, self-dignity, and solidarity. https://www.
