Interior Freedom: A Retreat for Catholic Young Adults

Do you ever have those days where you wonder how you can ever escape from life’s pressures when you have a job that you’re responsible for, a boss to please, commitments to friends, and taxes to pay? How can you find 100% interior freedom with all of the demands that life throws at you?

Join other Catholic young adults for a retreat led by Sr. Colleen Ann at the Franciscan Life Center in Lowell on Saturday, March 3 from 9 AM – 2 PM as she delves into ways to grow spiritually to find that interior freedom that each human longs for. The retreat will include presentations, prayer, discussion, and reflection time. A homemade chili lunch will be provided. Cost is $35 per person. – Ice Skating Winter Social –
We will meet as a group at Rosa Parks Circle TODAY for ice skating! Charge is only $3 for admission and ice skate rental (cash or check only), or you can bring your own skates. We will be going to dinner afterwards. Place: TBD.

To enrich your spiritual life, join us for a prayer service, adoration, and rosary at 7 PM (note the new time!). The Sacrament of Reconciliation will also be available at this time. After adoration and the rosary, we will be going for dinner / drinks / dessert afterwards at the Walker Roadhouse: 3272 Remembrance Rd NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534. The Vision Meeting, to discuss upcoming events for Connect, will occur at dinner.

We will be having a discussion on the readings and Gospel for Sunday, January 28th. Please bring your Bibles! Note the new time of 7pm for formation nights! A group of us plan to go out for dinner, desserts, appetizers, etc after our meeting.

Join us for our first formation of 2018! We will be watching episode 5 of the Catholicism Video series by Bishop Robert Barron. This episode is about Saints Peter and Paul. After the video, we will have a discussion. Please join us!

We will be having Adoration and Confession in the Chapel just off the Narthex of Holy Spirit Church at 7:30. If you haven’t been to it before, Father will kick off Adoration and then while he’s hearing confessions in the small room off the back of the chapel, we’ll spend time sitting quietly, reflecting and saying a rosary.
