We are meeting up to enjoy a game of baseball on Saturday, June 9. You can purchase Lawn seating for $8 base price at the link below. Parking is $7, so feel free to carpool with a fellow Connect member! Bring a blanket or chair and we’ll see you there at 7 PM!

Join us for an evening of quiet reflection, to say the rosary, and also to have the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Join us for dinner afterwards and also to discuss upcoming Connect activities at the Vision meeting.

This week at Connect we will be playing some outdoor games, weather-permitting! Bring your athletic feet! Also, feel free to bring a ball or frisbee, or board and card games if the weather looks gloomy and we end up inside. Afterwards, we will go out for ice cream!

Theology on Tap: “Behold the Man”

Wednesday, May 23 – Theology on Tap: “Behold the Man,” Shroud of Turin Presentation

  • 616 Sports Bar, 4514 Breton Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508

Catholic Connect will be hosting a RENEW Theology on Tap, a pastoral outreach of RENEW International and the Diocese of Grand Rapids. Deacon Dan Schneider, a permanent deacon serving with the St.Charles-St. Joseph-St. Mary Catholic Parishes in Belding, MI, will give a talk on the Shroud of Turin, which is a mystical burial cloth with what is believed to be the impression of Jesus’ face on it. He will start speaking promptly at 7:30 PM, so come early at 7:00 PM to get a seat, order food and socialize. This event is open to anyone, Catholic or not, Connect member or not, so feel free to invite friends, family and anyone who may be interested in learning more about the Shroud of Turin!

Join us this Wednesday as we continue our study of Pope Francis’ latest Apostolic Exhortation Gaudete et exsultate (Rejoice and Be Glad). We will spend some time reading it and then will discuss how it relates to our call to and growth in holiness. After the discussion, we will be heading out for some dinner afterwards!
